Pakistan series loss to Australia under investigation

Pakistan’s performance during their disastrous tour of Australia is being investigated by the International Cricket Council’s anti-corruption unit.
A leaked tape is said to show tour officials saying the defeat in the second Test was not just poor play.
Lord Paul Condon, chairman of the unit said: “We are satisfied that was a totally dysfunctional tour.”
Pakistan lost every match on tour – three Tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 contest.
Australia won by 36 runs in the Sydney Test despite conceding a 206-run first-innings deficit.
The whitewash prompted the Pakistan Cricket Board to hold its own investigation.

The board banned former captain Younus Khan and Australia tour captain Mohammad Yousuf for an indefinite period, while former captain Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan were banned for one year and fined heavily.
Kamran Akmal, Shahid Afridi and Umar Akmal were also fined heavily.
But the PCB said there had been no “match-fixing” and that the players had been banned and fined for “infighting and breach of discipline”.
Lord Condon, chairman of the ICC’s anti-corruption and security unit (ACSU), told a press conference at Lord’s on Thursday: “That has been an ongoing investigation since the time.
“It is a match and series that worried us, we spent a lot of time talking to the players and PCB. The challenge is finding where is the solid fact.

“What you have there is a lot of strife within the team and Pakistan politics with rivals camps making allegations.
“The dysfunctionality in the dressing room led to players not performing well, to maybe players potentially underperforming deliberately.”
Condon has spent 10 years in the role and will hand over to Sir Ronnie Flanagan, the former Northern Ireland police chief, when he retires at the end of June.
“My personal message is that if anyone is thinking about fixing, we will find them and deal with them,” Flanagan said.
“My message is to forget about it. We exist to pursue rigorously the policy of zero tolerance on corruption. We cannot be complacent and I will not be.”

Corruption scandal set to swamp Pakistani politicians

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani President, Asif Ali Zardari, faces being engulfed in a corruption scandal that threatens to distract the country from its battle with the Taliban.
Mr Zardari and members of his pro-Western government will be hit by a string of criminal allegations when an amnesty protecting high-ranking politicians expires today.
The publication of a list of more than 8000 politicians covered by the amnesty shows that it includes bureaucrats, senior ministers and ambassadors, who are charged with offences ranging from murder to embezzlement.
The amnesty on charges dating back to the 1990s, which was introduced through a decree by the former president Pervez Musharraf in 2007, was ended by the Supreme Court.
Mr Zardari is on the list but is protected from prosecution by presidential immunity. However, some lawyers believe they could prove him unfit for office. Cases could also be renewed against his allies, including Rehman Malik, the Interior Minister, and the ambassadors to London and Washington.
The end of the amnesty has alarmed the West, which fears that lengthy, politically motivated trials could distract their key ally in Islamabad from the Pakistani military’s war with the Taliban in Waziristan.
Mr Zardari has become a critical part of Western efforts to defeat the militants and hunt al-Qaeda terrorists.
He gained the nickname ”Mr 10 Per Cent” from accusations that he received kickbacks while awarding lucrative contracts during the two stints as prime minister of his wife, the late Benazir Bhutto. He spent years in jail on the charges and, while he was never convicted, the allegations have lingered.
The 8000 names on the list are dominated by politicians from the ruling Pakistan People’s Party. Mr Zardari’s supporters believe the publication of the list, coupled with the end of the amnesty, is part of a military-backed plot to oust him. In a speech this week, he said: ”We are not afraid of conspiracies.”
Despite presidential immunity, some lawyers argue that Mr Zardari is not protected from charges stemming from the period before he took office. A.K. Dogar, a lawyer preparing to sue him, said: ”The idea of anyone being above the law is wrong.”

You can customize each of your seven homescreens by adding widgets, folders, and shortcuts. Access “leap” view by pinching the screen or double tapping the Home button. Your homescreens will be displayed as thumbnails. Tap the one you want to jump to it. Long press the Home button to see a list of the last six apps you have used and quickly jump between them.
Does the EVO’s Battery Life Really Stink?
This one is a tricky question with both a yes and no answer. If you are running the handset with all of its bells and whistles enabled, streaming video, and browsing the web like its nobody’s business then you won’t get much longevity to the phone’s battery. On the other hand, one member at AndroidForums was able to run his phone for over 61 hours on a single charge using some helpful widgets and apps (you can see how to do the same with your phone by referring to his post here).
The point is to disable battery-killing features when you don’t need them. One of the big ones is actually 4G coverage, followed by things like GPS and Wi-Fi. An app like Locale can help you automatically enable and disable features based on custom parameters. What is the Best Way to Go About Transferring Contacts from Your Old Phone?
Plain and simple, using GMail will be the best way to not only sync all of your old contacts to your EVO, but it will also keep your address book up to date in GMail as you add new contacts to your phone. If you can export your contact list as an address book file you can upload it directly to your GMail account where it will then be synced to your phone. If you can’t export your contacts, you might have to enter them by hand into GMail, but you’ll only have to do it once and you won’t regret it.
What Apps are Must-Haves on the EVO 4G?
The huge screen and heavy processing power make the EVO a great choice for multimedia applications. Aside from the included Sprint TV capabilities, you’ll want to look into the TV.com app for extra television content and Mediafly if you like to follow high quality audio and video podcasts. A good streaming music service such as Slacker Radio or Pandora will provide you with hours of intelligently created playlists and round out the media experience on your EVO.
If Qik isn’t doing it for you for live video chatting, Fring will allow you to video chat with any of your friends on Skype (so you won’t be locked in to only being able to chat with other Qik users). You’ll want a good file manager like ASTRO to help keep your phone’s storage organized, and if you want an even faster browser to go with your fast phone, you’ll want to check out Opera Mini.

Tell us about your character as a widow in “The Japanese Wife?”
I play the role of “Sandhya” in this film who is a widow and single mother of an 8 year old. This is the first time I’ve played a character which is not glamorous but didn’t want to let go off this opportunity as this is Aparna Sen’s film.
So what’s the story of “The Japanese Wife?”
This is a haunting but improbable love story which revolves around a young village school teacher (Rahul Bose) marrying his Japanese pen friend (Chigusa Takaku) over letters and remaining true and loyal to her throughout his life, while actually never meeting her.
Sources claim that this film is based on a book?
That’s absolutely true! The film is based on title story of The Japanese Wife and Other Stories by Anglo-Indian author Kunal Basu, who writes from Oxford.
How was it working with tough task master aka perfectionist Aparna Sen?
Well honestly, I was scared before because I had this pre-conceived notion that she is really tough on the sets. Whenever I goofed up during a scene, she used to explain and even yell when needed but gradually it went smoothly. She used to pamper me like her daughter and it was such a wonderful experience working with her. I’m truly blessed.
How was it working with your co-star Rahul Bose?
I think he’s brilliant as an actor and I learnt a lot from him. We shared a good rapport and I enjoyed a lot.
Most of your work is non-commercial films. Any specific reason for that?
I’ve no idea but whatever I get, I do without any complaints.
Tell us about your upcoming films?
There are a few of them like “Sunglass”, Vinay Shukla’s film “Mirch” and Rituparna Ghosh’s “Nauka Doobi”

Beautiful USA's Criminal Gangs Tattoos

Tattoos are often times used by criminals in societies all over the world as a way of displaying their gang affiliations as well as a personal history, including their specific criminal talents, records of accomplishments, and their past and current convictions.

Many times these tattoos have their true meanings concealed within an often complex system of codes and symbolism in order to conceal their true meaning from authority figures and non-criminal civilians. Often these code systems are fairly complex and because of their nature they are not easily recognised by those outside of criminal circles.

These tattoos are often improvised, home made pieces and characterized by a bluish color and a blurred appearance due to the lack of instruments available to do more detailed work. The methods for administering the tattoos are varied and include improvising material for pigmentation from any number of prison available materials such as ashes from articles of clothing or paper.

The meanings of various gang and prison tattoos vary greatly in common interpretation and from place to place, and therefore they are difficult to properly define. Though some are fairly universal, such as a teardrop tattooed near the eye signifying that the bearer has at some time killed someone, while others are exclusive to certain regions.

One resounding similarity between most criminal cultures is that the wearing of unearned tattoos is a highly punishable offense, with discipline for the act ranging from the not so surgical removal of the tattoo by cutting away the skin to such extremes as death.

The two largest prison gangs in California employ tattoos symbolic of their gang affiliation as well as gang coluors to identify themselves. The Sureños, or Southerners, were the first such gang in the California prison system to employ gang colours and are often tattooed as well with the number 13 in either Roman or Arabic characters, or some combination thereof. The significance of the number 13 among this gang is that the letter M is the thirteenth letter of the alphabet, signifying La Eme or “The M”; The Mexican Mafia. The other of the largest prison gangs in the California Penal System is the Norteños, or Northerners, also referred to as Nuestra Familia (Our Family). They are based in Northern California and are bitter rivals to the Sureños due to a split in the 1960’s with the Sureños remaining heavily connected to the Mexican Mafia and the Norteños desiring to break all affiliation with La Eme. This particular gang is symbolized by the color red and the number fourteen.

Tattoos within the prison system, commonly known as “prison tats” are widely varied from society to society, country to country. From Ireland to Russia, complex systems of tattooing symbolism exist. In Ireland and Britain the acronym ACAB is often associated with the criminal underworld, most often the letters being tattooed across the fingers between the knuckle and first joint of the finger.

The specific meaning of this acronym varies from person to person, usually including either Always Carry A Bible or All Cops Are Bastards, the former obviously employed when the bearer needs to convey a bit more civil impression of themselves. This tattoo is sometimes expressed in a series of symbolic dots. In Britain especially, the Borstal Mark is a popular tattoo. It is an Indian ink dot symbolic of the juvenile detention centers in the United Kingdom of the same name. These are often applied during the bearers first imprisonment and are often considered a status symbol among criminals.

Russia and it’s criminal system has and has had for many years a remarkably complex and elaborate system of tattoo symbolism, with both the tattoo itself and the placement on the body of the bearer having significance in the interpretation of the tattoo. In many Russian gangs the initial tattoo placed upon a new member often incorporates a rose and is placed on the chest, for example. This symbol of a rose on the chest is also employed by the Russian Mafia quite frequently.

As well as symbolic brands and signs of affiliation and past accomplishments, tattoos can be involuntarily administered as a means to discipline and humiliate those who are deemed deserving of such punishment, such as those who fail to pay debts. These markings are often symbolic and easily interpreted by those within the criminal world.

In North America, there are a wide variety of tattoos with meaning in criminal circles. For example, tattoos of shamrocks and the symbolic employment of the number 12 are associated with the California based white supremacist organization The Aryan Brotherhood, the number one symbolizing the letter A and the number two meaning B. Of course, many people of Irish decent also have shamrock tattoos with no criminal intent whatsoever. The Aryan Circle, another white supremacist group, employs the number thirteen with the same alphabetical meaning.

The number thirteen may also indicate membership in the Mara Salvatrucha (MS13), a Central American gang formed for protection against the more powerful Mexican gangs as well as the Mexican Mafia, La Eme. It is also common in America, particularly in California, for gang members to have the phone area code of their hometown tattooed on themselves.

The Yakuza, the Japanese equivalent of La Cosa Nostra in Italy, is famous for their tattooing practices which have their roots in the Bakuto, whom tattooed black rings around their arms for each crime that the committed. Members of the Yakuza often have large full back or even full body pieces done in order to signify their clan affiliations and a lack of willingness to conform to societal standards. A single full back piece in the typical style used by the Yakuza can require over one hundred hours to finish. Many public bath houses in Japan, in fact, will not allow people bearing any tattoos whatsoever to enter the establishment because of the negative association with the Yakuza.

It is clear that tattoos bear an important part in the lives on criminals and those affiliated with gangs. Through years of hard work and dedication, complex designs have been crafted to avoid being noticed by the general public but holding deep meaning in the criminal/gang underworld.

Was it a publicity gimmick or was it Mika unable to keep his libido in check and kissing Rakhi Sawant. Whatever the case, the incident did give the two their 15 seconds of fame on national television. The incident happened on June 12th on Mika’s birthday bash. Rakhi lodged a complaint with the police and went about town talking about the forcible lip-lock.
Mika denied the incident but pics and video footage shown on the news channel prove otherwise. In fact, if we believe Rakhi Mika had kissed her forcibly earlier too but she forgave him.Well that’s the long of it in short.
The latest update is that Mika has come up with a song “Mika - Tune Pappi Kyon Li” The title of the song says it all and i also saw this online video. We now eagerly await Rakhi’s reply to this one.
