Saree is the traditional dress for Indian women. Saree is the best of all dresses. The women appears elegent and graceful in saree. Traditionally a north Indian saree is a 5 m long cloth in cotton, silk, chiffon, teri-cot, etc. The way a woman wears her saree is different in North india, South India, Maharastra, and other parts of India and so the length of saree.
In old days of Bollywood, sari was the normal outfit for the actresses. But in modern times, other dresses have repalced saree.
There are various saree styles in use in Bollywood, starting from Mumtaz style to the low neck lines. However the saree style that was popular a few decades ago has undergone a sea change over the passage of time. The Bollywood sarees have under gone change in their fabric, color combination and wearing styles, adding more grace to the outfit. Bollywood stars like Aishwarya Ra, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, etc. always worn elegant sarees. Colors like hot pink, orange, red, turquoise blue and even light colors are fashionable these days.
