The Cliffs, Virgin Gorda British Virgin Islands

The Cliffs is a collection of three one-bedrooms suites, which are part of the Oil Nut Bay resort in the hard-to-reach (unless you have a helicopter) eastern peninsula. The suites are built in stone and all have rooftop gardens, making them blend beautifully into the rock-face on which they are staggered. Each has slick and contemporary interiors - Fendi Casa furniture, pale cream walls - with giant wrap-around windows and a plunge pool. Guests can also use the pools at the Oil Nut Bay beach club.
