Delhi Belly's success bash
Anil Kapoor congratulated Aamir on his success while Kunal Roy Kapur, Vir Das, Poorna Jagannathan, Shenaz Treasury, Anusha Dandekar basked in the compliments. But it wasn't just the family and cast who made it to the do. Other guests like Bhushan Kumar and wife Divya Khosla Kumar and Prasoon Joshi too, got into the spirit of partying and were seen having a whale of a time here.
Aamir Khan's Delhi Belly beats Amitabh Bachchan's Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap in box office battle
The battle lines were drawn and the inevitability of the Amitabh-Aamir comparisons sealed when both flicks released on the same day- July 3. The crucial 'opening' (weekend collections), as the film trade calls it, is the yardstick for measuring success and in this case, it was even more keenly watched than usual. The Aamir Khan-produced Delhi Belly , an adult-certified comic caper, aimed at the right side of India's population came up trumps, finishing the opening weekend with a Rs 26-crore net from domestic screens and adding another Rs 6.7 crore from overseas.
Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap (BHTB), produced by AB Corp, reported a domestic weekend of Rs 7.5 crore net and an overseas weekend of Rs 2.25 crore. Within nearly a week post the release, DB has grown by Thursday to a total domestic net collection of over Rs 46 crore and an overseas collection of Rs 9.8 crore. Bbuddah, on the other hand, has collected Rs 11.5 crore net domestically and another Rs 4 crore net overseas.
The third contender -- also aimed at younger viewers -- Transformers-III, which released last weekend, earned Rs 12.5 crore net (opening weekend) with paid previews and 3D collections playing a big part. For Reliance Mediaworks CEO, Anil Arjun, this was an interesting week because all three releases catered to three distinct content genres. According to figures from Big Cinemas - India's largest multiplex chain which runs 250 screens -- 53% of its week's contribution came from Delhi Belly, followed by Transformers with 18% and BHTB with 14%.

The latest trailer of “Delhi Belly”, to come out July 19, will bring together Aamir and Imran Khan for the first time in a mock-argument over the colourful and lurid content of the adult comedy.
The trailer, shot by the film’s director Abhhinay Deo last week, is bound to raise more eyebrows than anything that has ever come out from the distinguished Aamir Khan Productions.
“Aamir wants the potential audience for ‘Delhi Belly’ to know that this is not a film for the squeamish or the purists. By bringing Imran into the discussion on aesthetics and how ‘Delhi Belly’ will reverse Aamir’s image as a producer, Aamir clearly wants to let the world know that ‘Delhi Belly’ is the ultimate culture shock for Aamir’s fans,” said a source.
Imran actually lets loose a volley of choicest Hindi abuses in it.
“It’s all in fun. But it will shock Aamir’s and Imran’s fans out of their wits. Aamir has always been known to be this no-nonsense guardian-like figure to Imran… to see him let off a chain of maa-bahen gaalis in front of Aamir is quite an aesthetic shock,” added the source.

Shot in Delhi, Mumbai and Mauritius, the movie is slated for Friday, November 26 release.

Aamir Khan to wear Karan Johar’s designs at Imran Khan’s wedding
“Karan has designed clothes for Aamir and his son Junaid. He has designed a traditional as well as a formal suit for the wedding functions,” said a source.
Not just Aamir, the filmmaker has also been acting as a mentor to the bride-to-be, Avantika Malik.
Karan has helped Avantika plan the entire wedding from clothes, jewellery, make-up to card designs.
However, for the mehandi celebrations Saturday, Imran and Avantika will be wearing designer Varun Bahl and Manish Malhotra’s clothes.
The wedding will take place Jan 10.

For Break Ke Baad, the film Kohli is producing with Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan in the lead, the team recently shot an additional epilogue, after the screenplay had its say.
Explains Kunal Kohli, "When I made Hum Tum, everyone wanted to know what happens to Saif and Rani after THE END. Do they live happily ever after? I've lost track of how many people have suggested a sequel to Hum Tum. That's something I won't do. Why go back to a film when there're so many virgin stories waiting to be broken into?"
What Kunal would henceforth do is add an "after-story".
"In Break Ke Baad, we've shot a story beyond the screenplay narrating a small improvised screenplay about the life that Deepika and Imran lead after the film is over. I could be using the same device in my other films in future if the characters seem to have a life after the film."
Last week, Kohli and his Break Ke Baad director Danish Aslam also shot a music video which was initially cut down by Kunal Kohli. But the director and his lead pair Deepika and Imran insisted on it.
Says Kunal, "I really didn't want to do a music video. I was the first one to do music video in our films for Hum Tum. But now everyone is doing it. So I was against doing one in Break Ke Baad."
What convinced Kunal were the lyrics. "I wanted a song about separation. But I didn't want the words, 'Break Ke Baad'. Prasoon Joshi came up with such a wonderful line. 'Dooriyan Zaroori Hai'. I was like, wow! All our love songs talk about separation being not worth considering. And separation was seen as important in every relationship. Every relationship needs space. I liked that concept."
The music video would be part of the newly-shot epilogue in Break Ke Baad.
I've stripped more than girls in I Hate Luv Storys
Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who plays a womaniser in his new film "I Hate Luv Storys", admits he has stripped more than the girls in the film."I have some deadly shirtless songs and scenes. I believe I have stripped more than the girls in the film, " Imran told reports here Monday at DT Cinemas in DLF Promenade, where he was present along with co-star Sonam Kapoor and director Punit Malhotra, to promote the film.
"I Hate Luv Storys" is about two people, who are completely opposite when it comes to romance.
While Jay (Imran) doesn't believe in love, Simran (Sonam) swears by it and has a very Bollywood idea of the emotion. It is set for release July 2.
Dodging rumours of any cold war between him and actor Ranbir Kapoor, Imran said: "I don't think actors should be compared. Every actor looks different and performs differently, everyone has their own strength and weaknesses and are good in their own way."
Imran and Sonam were greeted with much fanfare at the mall. They joyfully interacted with their fans and even shook a leg together for the title song of "I Hate Luv Storys" for their audience.
A quick bite that left a bad taste in Imran's mouth
A quick bite left Imran Khan with a bad taste in the mouth... quite literally. The actor, who was in the UK on Friday for the promotions of his film I Hate Luv Storys took ill after tucking into an English pie. He felt queasy and began throwing up soon after.He muses, "There was something wrong with the pie, " adding that, "that place did look a bit shady, " in retrospect. The actor received medical attention and is now better.
dds Imran, "We reached London early Friday morning. After we checked into the hotel, I went out for a bit. There was a restaurant close by and I settled for a pie. Back in the hotel, I started feeling uncomfortable. I could barely manage a single interview, as I would keep throwing up. I felt terrible all day."
On Saturday, Aamir Khan's nephew took off for Dubai for another round of the film's promotions. "I don't know how I endured the flight but as soon as we landed we had to head for an event at a nightclub. By then, I was feeling worse. I had to consult a doctor whose medication brought immense relief. During all this, my blood pressure also dipped."
The young actor has been travelling with I Hate Luv Storys co-star Sonam Kapoor for the past several days and therefore, has been eating out. He insists, "I am not the type who falls sick after eating out. I have a strong constitution. Guess it just wasn't my day."
Going nude doesn't bother me nor kissing girls: Imran
If you thought Imran Khan looks yummy without his shirt, imagine him bare. Can't? Maybe you won't have to tax your head over that for too long.In an interview to Stardust magazine, the actor says, "going nude doesn't bother me, and neither does performing kissing scenes on camera. But only if the role demands it.
