 Adieu Marc Jacobs et Bonne Continuation: After knowing that Marc Jacobs won't be more the creative director of Louis Vuitton, the best homenage or farewell we can do to his Glam Inspirations with the French Fashion House is remembering all the influence and styles he has brought to the Fashion World and to us with all his collections and his campaigns in every season...

 Fall 2012 Campaign was about an stunning voyage by train, as Marc Jacobs showed it in the runway, with Mackenzie Drazan, Marie Piovesan, Franzsika Müller, Julia Nobis, Ros Giorgiou, Marina Heiden and Elena Bartels by the lens of once again Steven Meisel.

 Spring 2012 Campaign was a Sweet , Charming and Loveable Spring with Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher lensed by Steven Meisel.

 Cruise 2012 Campaign was a Louis Vuiton Getaway on the Island of Corsica with Arizona Muse by Mark Segal. This campaign just make us start planning our next glam vacation.

 Fall 2011 was about fierce and elegance and attitude with Zuzzana Bijoch, Gertrud Hegelund, Daphne Groeneveld and Anais Pouliot by Steven Miesel.

 Spring 2011 was a Glam Boudoir with Freja Beha Erichsen, Kristen McMenamy and Raquel Zimmermman by the lens of Steven Meisel.

 Cruise 2011 shines perfectly seaside with Anne Vyalitsyna by Mark Segal

 Fall 2010 Campaign had the 50's style, Natalia Vodianova, Christy Tourlington and Karen Elson were ready to Rise, Glam and Strike a pose for Steven Meisel.

 Spring 2010 Collection was with a Natural Glam and beauty of Lara Stone, every picture had the seduction of this collection, lensed by Steven Meisel.

 Cruise 2010 enchanted us with the poolside effect and luxe of this collection, 

with Isabeli Fontana by Patrick Demarchelier.

Louis Vuitton's Cruise Collection 2012

In my humble opinion, Louis Vuitton has squandered its reputation of late. Although I've never known the true promise of the French apparel, it goes against the grain for me that almost everybody brags about a LV-bag - mostly simple forgeries which have no bearing at all on the prestige brand.

In the meantime, Marc Jacobs has poured oil on troubled waters. He definitely succeeded in abandoning the bourgeois image of Louis Vuitton: The new video lookbook provides evidence of it.
With LV's Cruise Collection for 2012, Marc Jacobs shows himself at his best. Pursuant to LV, the new collection is feminine, sophisticated and deceptively sassy. The sneak peak is inspired by 60's and 70's Parisian cinema, created in collaboration with muse Sofia Coppola, the embodiment of a free spirited woman, and model Arizona Muse. But although she got musically accompanied by Metronomy, I have to admit that not all of the designs are deeply moving me. Sure, Marc Jacobs knows his stuff, but I disrelish wearing pyjamas in broad daylight

The rest is quite presentable. According to LV, this year's must-haves are bold patterns, accessories and strong shapes. In addition, Marc Jacobs presented some animalistic designs like turquoise snakeskin shorts and blue zebra accessories. Some whimsical prints of skyline views and the Eiffel Tower stroke me, too. MBFW Roadshow - Where the cat walks

Yesterday's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Roadshow was totally awesome. We arrived at 8:30 pm and the first thing to do was lining up. There were probably hundres of fashion addicts waiting to be admitted, most of them were dressed quite nifty. Fortunately, we were put on the guest list so the entry flew smoothly. I was kinda wondering why several people directly ran up the stairs to the top floor but however, as it transpired, the catwalk was errected there. Unfortunately, we ran late which is why we didnt't manage it to grab a seat near the catwalk. So we deferred to the queue-jumpers and waited for the next runway show on 9:30 pm. In the meantime, I scarfed down some canapés and drank my delicious, yummy yummy mango-orange and rasperry-blackberry smoothies listening to some groovy jazz.

A fairy long time later - the first runway show had already come to an end - we sntached some front-row-seats for the second show and I walked on air. Just a few minutes later, Alexander Mazza, a German TV-moderator, inaugurated the show. After closing his speech, the runway show started with Alexandra Kiesels collection "Building Block Individuals 6/12/24”/Baukasten Individualisten 12/6/24", monochrome classics in red, green, yellow and blue - primary colors just like Bauhaus architects would have used them. With her collection Alexandra democratizes fashion in a way everybody is possible to find his/her own style and to mix the "modules" in flexible combinations. Not for nothing, Marc Jacobs elected her to win the "Designer For Tomorrow"-Award.

During the course of the evening, nameable other designer's collections entered the stage, thereunder Gant, MarcCain or Roeckl. Moreover, you could indulge yourself with beauty products by Barbor or do some late night shopping until 12 pm. And after I received my give-away bag (with products of Barbor & Shisheido) I drew a conclusion of the night: The Mercedes Benz Fashion Roadshow was totally terrific.

New Lookbook by Opening Ceremony

The motto of Opening Ceremony this spring: a little bit of the 70's mixed with french stripes and salsa-rhythm. With Lindsay Wixson and photographer Terry Richardson, the brand created a really colorful lookbook. But it's a moot point whether fashionistas know how to combine these fringed dress slit tops and skirts. Maybe you have a look at Marc Jacob's designs this season as he probably is Opening Ceremonies role model for their new collection.
