Shahrukh Khan thanks Kareena Kapoor for working hard

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has showered praises on his “RA.One” co-star Kareena Kapoor for her hard work and sincerity in completing the shooting in time.
“Finished the last few bits and pieces of ‘RA.One’ with Kareena. Want to thank her for working so hard and fast…she was such a sport. Hope we haven’t tanned her too much in the hot sun,” Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.
The actors were busy shooting portions of the film in Hyderabad. “RA.One” is a much-awaited superhero film, in which Kareena plays Shah Rukh’s love interest.
The movie is set for release on Diwali.

Shahrukh Khan’s Ra.One fetches Rs.350 million for TV rights

Ra.1 is produced by Gauri and Shahrukh Khan, and features SRK in a superhero avatar G.One. The hotly anticipated sci-fi flick is expected to be the biggest release at Diwali this year.

Per reports Star TV has agreed to part with Rs.350 million for the satellite TV rights of the film; Salman Khan’s Bodyguard, Ajay Devgn’s Singam and Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar are the other films that Star TV recently acquired the rights for.

T-Series has reportedly paid Rs.150 million for the exclusive music rights of the film, and with the Senegalese American R&B singer Akon signing the headlining item number Wanna be my chammak challo, the movie’s soundtrack seems a certain bet for T-Series. A version of the song was leaked online and became an instant hit; the Ra.One team claims that the final version is much better.

Katrina Kaif edits Shahrukh Khan’s Don 2 movie

Katrina Kaif has always had a long-standing desire of contributing in some way to a film’s post-production. Well, her wish has been fulfilled, thanks to Farhan Akhtar.

Katrina and Farhan became friends while filming for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. She was particularly impressed by Farhan’s multiple talents: he is an actor, he has already directed a few films, and he can sing. Katrina, too, wanted to try her hand at something other than acting; Farhan helped fulfil that wish.

While editing Shahrukh Khan’s next film Don 2, which Farhan has directed, Farhan let Katrina edit a small portion.

Katrina did well and edited the portion and was ‘thrilled’ after having done so.

Shahrukh Khan to pep up Ra.One with more action

Shahrukh Khan is pulling out all the stops to ensure that his sci-fi superhero flick Ra.One is a blockbuster at the box office this Diwali. SRK has now roped in Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra for an action packed sequence in Ra.One.

Both Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra were added to the film because Shahrukh and Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha felt that the film could be spiced up with a little more action.

It is known that Priyanka Chopra shares a great rapport with Shahrukh, the two have acted together in Don and the to-be-released Don 2, and per sources when Shahrukh asked Priyanka she quickly cut short her trip to America and flew back to shoot for the sequence.

On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt has never worked with Shahrukh in a film, but both SRK and Anubhav were so impressed by Sanju baba’s beefed-up look in Agneepath that they could not resist casting him for an action sequence in Ra.One. Good friend Karan Johar helped out by happily giving Sanjay a few days off from shooting Agneepath so that he could shoot with SRK for Ra.One.

Now both Priyanka and Sanjay Dutt will appear in a fantasy action sequence along with SRK in Ra.One. In the movie Kareena Kapoor plays main female lead opposite Shahrukh Khan. The film also stars Arjun Rampal and will release on October 26 this year.

Gulzar said his inspiration for Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji was himself. He said, "Well, it's in my hormones. Dil abhi bhi baccha hai. So I didn't have to seek inspiration from anywhere else.” Lalit Pandit who won the award for Munni Badnaam Hui said, “It's taken me twenty yeas to win this award. AR Rahman always won it from under our nose. A lot of effort has gone into this. It has inspired me to work harder.” Farah Khan who won the Best Choreography Award said, "Thank God that Udaan is not nominated in the Best Choreography section. I am sure I would have lost to them.”

Earlier Filmfare nomineee Prachi Desai who was asked on the red carpet about what she’d do if she’d win the award, she excitedly said, "I am going to sleep with the Black lady tonight."

Shahrukh Khan's daughter Suhana admitted in hospital: Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, 10-year-old Suhana, was admitted to Lilavati hospital in the middle of the night on Thursday. According to sources, she was running very high temperature when she was brought in.

“She was admitted on the 11th floor and immediately attended to. Thereafter she was under observation. Pediatrician Dr Shobha Sharma is treating her,” a source from Lilavati told us yesterday evening.

At the time of going to the press, we heard that Suhana was likely to be discharged. “The child has responded to treatment and is better now. She will be sent home in a few hours,” our source added.

As for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, she's up for Best Female Actor in a leading role for Guzaarish.

Shahrukh Khan, Katrina, Priyanka to perform at star-studded Apsara Awards

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will perform at the 6th edition of Chevrolet Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards Tuesday. Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra will also dance to their hit numbers, while Govinda will pay a tribute to veteran star Dharmendra at the ceremony. King Khan, who performed at the awards ceremony last year as well, will be giving the finale performance. Katrina will give her first stage performance ever since she has become a rage with sizzling number “Sheila ki jawaani” and “Desi girl” Priyanka Chopra will also groove to her popular songs.
“This year, the Apsara Awards look especially promising with some star studded performances. There is a spectacular line-up of stars from various sectors of the industry and we are really looking forward to the show,” filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, president of the Guild, said in a press statement.
A special highlight of the show, which is being produced by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, will be Govinda’s tribute to Dharmendra to celebrate 50 years as he will dance to the songs that made the latter actor iconic.
“With the performances at the Chevrolet Apsara Awards, we wanted to showcase the best talent in the industry. While we revere the veterans and well-established actors, we also promote the exciting new talent in the industry today,” said Sabbas Joseph, director, Wizcraft International.
Others like Gauahar Khan and Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez will also add some zing with their performances. In fact, Gauahar will also share the stage with fellow stage-actors Hussain Kuwajerwala and Kashmira Irani for a joint performance from the hit Bollywood musical – “Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince”, performed at the Gurgaon-based Kingdom of Dreams.
“Band Baaja Baraat” actress Anushka Sharma will also be among the star performers for the event, to be hosted by funnyman Sajid Khan.
The Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards honours the achievements and efforts of Indian artistes in the field of entertainment. This year, the awards will be up for grabs in 30 different categories across TV, technical, creative and performance categories.
Shah Rukh-starrer “My Name Is Khan” is leading the nomination list of the awards among movies, while “Pavitra Rishta”, “Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya” and “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” are among the TV shows with maximum nominations.

Shahrukh Khan (Hindi: शाहरुख़ ख़ान, Urdu: شاہ رخ خان) (born 2 November 1965) is a highly acclaimed award-winning Muslim Indian actor who works in Bollywood films. He is also a film producer and television host. In 2008, Newsweek named him one of the 50 most powerful people in the world.
Shahrukh Khan began his career by appearing in several television serials in the late 1980s. He made his film debut with the commercially successful Deewana (1992). Khan has won thirteen Filmfare Awards, seven of which are in the Best Actor category.

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming films in 2011

Shah Rukh Khan's best year may well be, in 2011. The phenomenon who delivered one big hit in the form of My Name is Khan, lay low for most part of the year. Also he steered free of controversy and whenever they came about, he chose to keep quiet and adopted a dignified stand. Now in 2011, it is Shah Rukh khan’s time as he enters the world of entertainment: a game show called Zor Ka Jhatka and two films; Ra One and Don 2: The Chase Continues.

Also Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the main lead in Chetan Bhagat’s adaption 2 States, that will have him working opposite Illena, the talented South Indian actress.

At the same time, SRK is also toying with the idea of a Rohit Shetty film. His production house is in talks with the Golmaal director for a full-fledged comedy. Shah Rukh Khan, the Bazigaar of the 90s known to take good career risks in the 90s did become a little complacent in the first half of 2000. Though the hits were coming, SRK was criticized for not coming up with novel scripts like Aamir Khan would.

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to change that by going for a sci-fi film Ra. One, a thriller Don 2, a romantic movie based on 2 States and round it up with a family entertainer and comedy; ie ; from the Rohit Shetty stable. And last heard, Yash Chopra is looking for a good romantic script for Shah Rukh khan.

Ra. One’s tentative release date is June 2011 while Don 2 will have the mother of all clashes.Yes, Don 2 is all set to release with Aamir Khan’s thriller on Christmas 2011.

Rohit Shetty, SRK to plan for a comic project

Rohit Shetty, SRK to plan for a comic project: Rohit Shetty very well known for his comedy flicks of Golmaal series is a great friend and more than family to superstar Ajay Devgan.

Almost every film of his has Ajay in it be it his first film Zameen, Sunday, Golmaa-1, 2, 3 or All the Best. Reportedly Rohit these days has been approached by Shahrukh Khan who apparently loved his work in Golmaal 3.

He has been offered to direct endorsements ads for Red Chillies and also an offer to be a part of the board of directors. They have also been consistently meeting as Rohit reportedly has expressed a desire to do a comedy flick with him.

The search for a suitable script has not yet ended but they have tentatively zeroed on a `80's comedy flick.

Red Chillies and Rohit are still negotiating on the rights of the `80s comedy flick after the finalization of which they will work on the screenplay. The good news for now is that Ajay is perfectly fine that Rohit is working with another actor and Rohit will nevertheless be soon starting shoot for remake of a Tamil film Singam with Ajay.
