Vidya Balan married to Siddharth?

 Actress Vidya Balan is in the news again. It was reported earlier this year that Vidya is engaged to her beau Siddharth Roy Kapur. This time, news is spreading like wildfire that they secretly married last week at a hush-hush wedding ceremony. It is also reported that they are currently on honeymoon.

While Vidya decided to keep quiet on the rumours, Siddharth Roy Kapur said that the news of their marriage is utter false. Sources close to Vidya said that the actress is currently in Mumbai and would staring shooting the next schedule of The Dirty Picture in a couple of weeks' time. The actress' manager also said that the news of her marriage is 'nonsense'.

Well, we hope rumour mongers stop talking rubbish about the actress, now that her manager has cleared that she is not married!

Vidya Balan married?

Vidya Balan was married off to beau Siddharth Roy Kapoor for a day, thanks to gossipmongers on social networking sites

Vidya Balan fans got a huge jolt on Tuesday, all thanks to social networking sites. The actress was conveniently married off to UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor. 

All we can confirm is that the two took a trip out of the country as Siddharth does on every birthday, and spent the day together.

Rumours about Vidya and Kapoor dating each other have been doing the rounds since No One Killed Jessica. Speculations only increased when the two were spotted holidaying in Goa and then in Khandala.
 
Apparently, Vidya has also been accompanying Kapoor on a few family functions, pretty much putting an official stamp on them as a couple.

Rani, Vidya promote 'No One Killed Jessica'

Actress Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan were in the city on Monday to promote their film 'No One Killed Jessica'.
"Working on such an issue is like a learning experience. This film carries a lesson with it. It is based on how media can help the gain justice,'' Rani Mukherjee said.

When asked about her character she said: "My character is that of a crime reporter (Meera). In brief, she portrays the power of media."

On her comfortability in using harsh words in the film, Rani said, "Yes, I was comfortable as when I play a character, I do it with all my heart and full sincerity."

"And of course, the character needed to use such slangs to justify the role,'' she added.

"I feel extremely honoured portraying the character of Sabrina,'' actor Vidya Balan said.

"I simply personalised the emotional journey of Sabrina, though in physicality we are poles apart. I also appreciate the director for balancing two completely contrasting characters of Meera and Sabrina", Vidya added.

Director, Rajkumar Gupta said: "I choose this subject as it was a very inspiring story, as in the course of events an entire nation came together. So, I thought of portraying the story on celluloid.

Vidya Balan Pregnant Women in kahaani, Sexy Vidya Balan Pregnant

Vidya Balan is known for the ease and poise with which she plays various complex characters but the role she is set to play in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’ is such which not many Bollywood babes would dare to play. She will be seen as a six motnhs pregnant woman with a belly in the entire film. In the flick, Vidya’s husband travels from London to India for work. However, he goes missing and she comes to Kolkata in search of him. Shot in Kolkata and London the film will be out some time mid 2011 and the Kolkata schedule of the flick has already been wrapped up.

Says Sujoy, “It’s the story of a woman who’s six months pregnant and her journey. I had written the script keeping Vidya in mind. I wouldn’t have made the film without her. For me she’s a perfectionist who has beautifully brought the character alive.”

He adds, “She made it look so effortless. She never compromised on any aspect of filmmaking. Since cinema is a visual medium it was very important for her to look the part. There is lot of simplicity in her character and at the same time great turmoil within.

Also there were boundaries because a pregnant woman isn’t Batman or Superman. She can’t do much, there’s only so much you can make her do. But the beauty lies in the vulnerability and subtle nuances that she’s used to play the character.”

Vidya Balan perform with Rajinikanth in next movie

Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran is still going great in not only southern India but world over; well that is the power of super star. And to continue making great cinema and loads of money for everyone, Rajinikanth is not stopping at all, rather it has been hardly few days that Endhiran released and Rajni has already signed for another upcoming Tamil action film Hara.

The news is that Vidya Balan is being considered for the role of female protagonist, however in past also FilmiTadka have asked Vidya so many times about the prospects of her acting in south Indian cinema, and she has always sternly said no to it, because she always say that she doesn’t want to be associated with southern film industry.

Let us see what happens this time, as the movie is produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth, the film which was initially named as “Sultan” was planned as a 3D animation movie, but now after seeing the success of “Endhiran The Robot”, top bosses changed their minds, and we say they did so for good.

Vidya Balan in Dum Maro Dum

Time for an encore by Vidya Balan and Abhishek Bachchan? Yup! The duo that shone together in Guru (she played his muh-boli sister) and followed it up with a terrific act in Paa are now teaming up again for Rohan Sippy’s film Dum Maaro Dum.

We hear Vidya has been approached to play a cameo opposite Abhishek in the film.

Vidya’s performance and chemistry with Abhi in Paa must have influenced Sippy’s decision to rope her in the film.

The cameo required a lady with very Indian looks and Vidya fitted the bill perfectly. Moreover, the actress has liked her role, though small, in the film that’s already sparked a lot of curiosity because of its trippy title and an interesting cast ensemble.

Vidya Balan wants to act like Silk Smitha

The life of the late Silk Smitha is being made into a film. Vidhya Balan is donning her role. Vidhya Balan is practicing the hip shake dance to dance like Silk Smitha for a month’s time. Silk Smitha enticed the audience with her magnetic eyes. In 1980s there was never a film without her.
She had almost acted with every hero including Rajni and Kamal. Silk Smitha who entertained the audience encountered lots of personal life. There were rumors linking her with producers, actors and call sheet managers. One day she committed suicide.
Producer Ektha Kapoor has planned to produce her bio-pic in Hindi and South Indian languages. This film has been tentatively titled Dirty Picture. Many actresses were considered to do the role of Silk Smitha. Finally it was decided that Vidhya Balan would be suitable to do this role. Vidhya is taking training from a South Indian choreographer to dance like Smitha.
Producer Ektha Kapoor while speaking to the media said,” This film is not made keeping in glamour in mind. This film illustrates about the relationship between an actress and a producer. The talented actress Vidhya Balan will be suitable for the role of Silk Smitha. Director Milan Luthria and I have done a lot of research about Silk Smitha. The important factor of this film is dance. After confirming the hero, Vidhya Balan will be taking practice in dance.”

I’m done with trying to be someone I’m not – Vidya Balan

Mumbai, After receiving flak from critics, Vidya Balan has now managed to impress them with her performance in “Paa”. The actress is now looking forward to “Ishqiya” and “Chenaab Gandhi” to strengthen her position and says she won’t do roles she doesn’t identify with.

“Isn’t that amazing? It’s taken a lot of getting used to. But I feel blessed. I’m done with trying to be someone I’m not,” Vidya, who will be seen as Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter in “Chenaab Gandhi”, told IANS.

“I went through a period of tremendous turmoil when I was struggling to do roles that didn’t come naturally to me. But now in hindsight I think that confusion helped me pick ‘Paa’, ‘Ishqiya’ and ‘Chenaab Gandhi’. It’s gratifying to know today directors think of me for specific roles and not just as one of many choices.”

Vidya became an overnight sensation after her debut film “Parineeta” (2005), but later earned flak for her clothes in “Heyy Babyy” and for doing a film like “Kismat Konnection”.

Thanks to director R. Balakrishnan’s “Paa”, in which she plays a single mother whose son suffers from progeria, a disease that accelerates the ageing process, she has regained past glory.

Though she played a perfect mother in “Heyy Babyy” and “Paa”, Vidya can’t get along with kids in real life.

“If I hold a baby for a while I get stressed. In ‘Heyy Babyy’, the baby would bawl every time I had to carry it. In ‘Paa’, I had to mother a man who was far older. It took a lot of getting used to. The fact that Mr. Bachchan kept referring to me as ‘Maa’ as soon he entered the sets, sure helped,” she said.

A lot is being said about her aesthetic clothes in “Paa”.

“All thanks to Sabyasachi Mukherjee I think he understood my body language and my personality perfectly. And he dressed me up beautifully without overstepping the parameters of my character.”
