Frank Sinatra designed the penthouse himself and lived in it for about 11 years from 1961 to 1972. Not one to offer anything mediocre to their guests, the Dorchester Collection’s Mayfair hotel, 45 Park Lane now allows guests the opportunity to enjoy the best of London in Rolls-Royce’s newest model Wraith, when they book a stay in the Penthouse Suite. The bespoke offer allows for an exhilarating half-day drive experience during their stay, available from November 1, 2013.

What better way to take a tour of gorgeous London! The guests will be among the first in the world to take what is considered the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built – to the road. The hotel recommends a drive itinerary that includes the Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, Whitehall to skirt Big Ben and along the Victoria Embankment to Tower Bridge. If you’d like to hear her engine purr more, an ideal route to open up the engine would be to head towards Coworth Park, Dorchester Collection’s luxury country house hotel in Ascot for lunch, a polo lesson or a spa day by the pool.

Back at the hotel, guests will also have access to enjoy a special Wraith cocktail in Bar 45 mixed with ingredients that conjure the Wraith experience. The Wraith experience offers a choice of three ‘speeds’, of Rémy Martin Cognac – VSOP, Coeur de Cognac and XO – to suit different levels of intensity, flavor and finish. The Wraith cocktail at Bar 45 starts at £16 ($24.8) for the Rémy Martin Cognac – VSOP, £25 ($38.8) with Coeur de Cognac, and £50 ($77.7) with XO.

45 Park Lane is the pinnacle of luxury in central London. Designed by Thierry W. Despont, the hotel’s Penthouse Suite took home ‘Best Hotel Suite in Europe’ at the annual European Hospitality Awards in November 2012. Accessible only by a key controlled lift the two-bedroomed Penthouse Suite covers the entire top floor of the hotel, and features a wraparound terrace with outdoor seating and panoramic views over London. An oval dining-room allows its guests to enjoy Wolfgang Puck’s CUT menu in the comfort and privacy of their own suite. Rates for the Penthouse Suite at 45 Park Lane start from 8.400 Euro (£7,194) ($11,184) including breakfast and VAT. Two Wraith cocktails are offered complimentary to guests at the Penthouse Suite.

Penthouse in Monaco will be the world’s most expensive

Monaco is a city that is luxury and class personified and also a playground for the world’s rich, famous and uber elite; especially famous for its yacht shows. Hence it is no surprise that it will house the world’s most expensive property per square metre. The penthouse in question will come onto the market next year, will be a part of the 170m Odeon Tower which will be the Mediterranean coastline’s second tallest building. The twin towers boasts of 70 luxury apartments with one to six bedrooms. The highlight though will be the 3,300 sq metre multi-story penthouse replete with a private water slide and exclusive infinity pool. The estimated value of the penthouse which is toted to be the world’s most expensive is 295.168.550Euro($388 million).

Prominent names are involved in completion of this project; architect Alexander Giraldi is spearheading the venture, the Alberto Pinto agency is handling the interiors and the grounds are being done up by landscape architect Jean Mus.

Promising a visual delight, every lavish Odeon Tower apartment will have floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces with panoramic views of Monaco, Larvotto beach and the Ligurian Sea. Russian and Turkish saunas, swimming pools, private spas, full-time concierge, private chauffeured limousines and a cinema will give it the ultimate dose of luxury.
