Kareena Kapoor to play a sex worker role in Bhansali's 'Heera Mandi'

 Bollywood Hot Bebo Kareena will finally be working with ace director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his upcoming project “Heera Mandi”.

The project will go on floor as soon as Sanjay wraps his his ongoing project “Guzaarish” with Hrithik Roshan.

Both of them had expressed their desire of working together but things could not materialise owing to various personal as well as professional reasons.

Although they had discussed a couple of projects like Devdas and Bajirao Mastana with Salman Khan, circumstances forced Sanjay to shelve the project, the main reason being that their movie, Kyun Ki failed to do well at the box office.

As soon as Kareena gets back after the completion of Agent Vinod from Morocco, they will discuss the future of “Heera Mandi”.

Katrina Kaif to play as an item number: After 2 blockbusters namely Main Hoon Naa and Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan's next directorial venture Tees Maar Khan is one of the most awaited films of the year. After all, the film stars the hit jodi of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif One of the USPs of the film is the item number 'Sheela Ki Jawani' filmed on Katrina Kaif. Kats, as everyone knows by now, plays an item girl in the film and Farah wanted nothing but the best for this dance number.

Speaking about this special song, Farah says, "Sheela Ki Jawani is a special item number with a never before seen feel to it. There are six different set-ups in the song and Katrina will be seen in 6 different looks.

In the last sequence of the song, I wanted a rustic bar setting where you'll see Katrina surrounded by men holding beer-mugs and splashing water on her something similar to the famous 'Jumma Chumma' song in Hum.

Another part of the song is a tribute the musical Chicago. The song itself is a mix of Bhojpuri meets Bob Fosse if you can imagine what I am saying."

Elaborating more on what promises to be the 'baap' of all item numbers, Farah says, "What I wanted for this song was to keep Katrina' s look rustic and have a backdrop like that of a Broadway musical. So it's both raunchy yet classy and believe me, Katrina has never done anything like this before. She has really worked hard to get into shape for this number and the results have to be seen to be believed."

Katrina Kaif's open speach about Salman Khan: Katrina Kaif says she knows Salman Khan well enough to figure out when he’s joking and when he’s serious.

Katrna Kaif was in a fix when Salman Khan asked her on Bigg Boss 4 who her favourite co-star is, Akshay Kumar or him (Salman). Though reports suggested that Katrina was put off Salman’s questions, the lady says she knew that Sallu was asking such things in good humour.

“Salman and I have known each other for a while now and I know when he is pulling my leg and when he is serious about things. On the sets of Bigg Boss 4, this was all done in good humour,” Katrina is quoted as saying in a Live India interview.

When pointed out that Akshay is seen as her better co-star than Salman, Katrina said: “To be honest me and Salman haven’t done a fair movie together. Whereas me and Akshay have done seven movies together now. So keeping that in mind it is only fair that Akshay gets the better co-star’s title,” she said.

Talking about exposing her mid-riff for the first time in the song Sheila Ki Jawani, Katrina said: “Yes that is true and trust me while shooting for it I was supremely nervous. I had told Farah whether we can use a dupatta. But she told me to give it a shot and if I am still not comfortable then I can use the dupatta. It turned out pretty well. So much so that my brother who is not at all interested in movies welcomed me at the London airport singing Sheila Ki Jawani.”

According to Google country head Vinay Goel, the most searched celebrity Katrina Kaif is more popular in Pakistan than in India. While speaking to media, Katrina Kaif said that it very nice to get included in the most searched for list as it indicates that the fans are enjoying her works in the movies. The search engine, Google has published its year-end Zeitgeist, the tool which reveals what internet users are searching for. Goa, Kerala and Kashmir were listed as the top holiday destinations. While developing the 2008 report, Google analyzed various aspects of the search queries to read out the minds of Internet users in India.

Rani, Vidya promote 'No One Killed Jessica'

Actress Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan were in the city on Monday to promote their film 'No One Killed Jessica'.
"Working on such an issue is like a learning experience. This film carries a lesson with it. It is based on how media can help the gain justice,'' Rani Mukherjee said.

When asked about her character she said: "My character is that of a crime reporter (Meera). In brief, she portrays the power of media."

On her comfortability in using harsh words in the film, Rani said, "Yes, I was comfortable as when I play a character, I do it with all my heart and full sincerity."

"And of course, the character needed to use such slangs to justify the role,'' she added.

"I feel extremely honoured portraying the character of Sabrina,'' actor Vidya Balan said.

"I simply personalised the emotional journey of Sabrina, though in physicality we are poles apart. I also appreciate the director for balancing two completely contrasting characters of Meera and Sabrina", Vidya added.

Director, Rajkumar Gupta said: "I choose this subject as it was a very inspiring story, as in the course of events an entire nation came together. So, I thought of portraying the story on celluloid.
