A First Look at the 2014 Bentley Flying Spur

The new and improved 2014 Bentley Flying Spur has long been anticipated and is now available to drive. It takes luxury and comfort to an entirely different class, with a strong emphasis on creating a silky smooth ride, even when flying at top speeds. The remodelled Flying Spur has a softer suspension and lighter weight than its predecessor, along with a number of other new changes that are worth taking special note of.
An Increase in Power and Capability
One of the first ways that the new Flying Spur differs from the older model is in its output, which has been increased from 552 horsepower to 616, with 590 lb-ft of torque. This is thanks to its 6.0-litre W-12 engine, which remains the same due to it being a hallmark of the Bentley brand. Although the new car is 110 pounds lighter than the previous Bentley model, it manages to retain the same width and possesses a rear that is 1.4 inches longer. The Flying Spur lives up to its name with its ability to zip from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.3 seconds, and can top out at 200 mph. Yet with a new exhaust system in place and greater shielding, the car is also able to provide a quieter, smoother ride than previous models. In fact, it’s now a good 40% quieter, with a noticeable muting of the engine even when gunning it. Gas mileage has been slightly improved as well, with 20 mpg on the highway, 12 mpg in the city, or 15 mpg overall.
 A More Luxurious Interior
Hand-stitched, quilted leather and sleek planed wood help comprise the elegant interior of the Flying Spur. Rear seat passengers can benefit from LCD screens mounted to each of the backs of the front seats. These are fully equipped with wireless headphones, USB, and DVD players. Backseat passengers can also use a touchscreen remote to control the audio and heating systems, and even follow along with the car’s speedometer. A high attention to detail is paid to passenger comfort and the ability to individualize each experience. The interior trim is available in a wide range of bespoke trim and colour options, to give each model an air of privacy and exclusivity.
 Exterior Changes
To achieve the slimmed down weight, the exterior of the Flying Spur has been pared down as well. The front LED headlights retain their original oval shape, but they are now placed outboard. The grille has a new vertical placement, and there are visible creases that give the sheet metal a tighter look. The rear portion of the vehicle has a bit of a flare, with the slight increase in the width of the rear in comparison to the overall width of the car. The rear lamps are square in shape, but the tailpipes are designed in an oval to complement the front headlights.
For those looking for a sleek, powerful, fast, and extremely refined experience behind the wheel, the new 2014 Bentley Flying Spur doesn’t disappoint.

Bentley will launch the world’s most expensive and powerful SUV in 2016

Bentley will launch the world’s most expensive and powerful SUV in 2016

More than a year later since Bentley showcased its luxury SUV concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Volkswagen group has finally given a go ahead signal to commence its development. Bentley Motors confirmed the news yesterday and said the company’s fourth model in the line-up will go on sale in 2016. With the economic meltdown in the world, SUV segment was the worst hit and most of the new projects were stalled including the Bentley SUV ‘EXP 9F’. But things have started to improve and the auto industry has been spearheading the recovery. There is huge growth in demand for SUVs from China and North America which has given the necessary impetus to luxury car makers like Bentley, Maserati and Lamborghini to move ahead with their plans of luxury SUVs.
The high-end SUV will be built out of Crewe, England, which will bring more than £800 million in investments and will open up thousands of jobs in the country. UK Prime Minister David Cameroon hailed the development as ‘fantastic news’. Bentley claims EXP 9F will be the most powerful and luxurious SUV on offer. The 4X4 shares Bentley’s distinct design DNA and will offer features which have never been seen on a SUV before. The concept car which was unveiled last year featured a 6-liter W12 engine, an eight-speed automatic AWD and 23-inch alloy wheels. It’s expected to be priced at Euro 174.100 (£150,000) ($230,000) which will most probably make it the priciest production SUV when it’s launched in 2106.

Bentley Continental GT by DMC

Improved in every single way by DMC, this stunning Bentley Continental GT looks so much better than the stock model! Even though there are some noteworthy changes in the engine department as well, the first thing that struck us first was the new body kit, which boastsnew carbon fiber elements.

The body package flaunts all-new bumpers, modified side skirts, a rear wing and a diffuser, as well as 22-inch diamond-forged alloy wheels with new 295/25/22 tires. There are no photos of the interior, but we expect it to be customizable, the buyers enjoying a range of premium leather, exotic woods, and carbon fiber optional features.

And finally, the tuned GT’s hood hides another series of improvements. After an ECU remap, a new titanium exhaust, and new high-flow air filter, the engine roars with 672 HP and 575 lb-ft of torque. This means that the 0-60 mph acceleration time is of only 4.5 seconds, while the top speed is 202 mph. Not bad at all! Thank you, DMC!

Bentley confirms its first SUV will debut in 2015

Bentley‘s upcoming SUV will look nothing like the XP 9F concept it unveiled at last year’s Geneva Motorshow, according to the luxury car company’s director of sales.

Kevin Rose, Bentley’s director of sales and marketing, promised the brand’s clients that the SUV would look nothing like its current SUV concept vehicle, and in response to claims that the proposed car is to be called The Falcon replied that if he has “anything to do with it won’t be called the Falcon.”

The car, expected to go into production – possibly in Eastern Europe – in 2015-2016 will be priced to compete with the recently launched Range Rover.

A top-of-the-range Range Rover, with all available optional extras can cost up to 146.000 Euro (£125,000), (US$189,000) and the Bentley is expected to represent the same value but with more exclusivity.

The Bentley XP 9F concept features a modified version of the Continental‘s 6.0 liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine. However, hybrid and V8 designs are also being considered for future production.

The big SUV rides on massive 23-inch wheels and tires and features a panoramic glass roof, twin elliptical exhaust pipes and a split two-piece tailgate.
The 4+1 cabin is trimmed in both soft-touch and saddle leather, wood veneers and polished aluminum, bronze and gunmetal.

Bentley also has combined traditional analog dials with reconfigurable “virtual” instrumentation and advanced features such as 3D navigation.

The rear-seat occupants are treated to such amenities as a fold-down keyboard and full Internet connectivity via an iPad, a powered footrest, a drinks table and an infotainment screen for movies, as well as a rear armrest that lifts to reveal a cooled compartment for champagne and glasses.

Bentley Launches Its First Luxury Fragrance for Men

What if people could know that you drive a luxury car just by smelling your high-end fragrance? Bentley made sure there is a way for everybody to understand your status just by being in your presence. They have recently launched their first range of perfumes for men. Matching the exquisite pedigree of their cars, the fragrances are new symbols of good taste and deep pockets.

Available in three versions, the perfumes were developed in collaboration with famous French crystal manufacturer Lalique, who designed the flacon and its “Flying B” top. The more affordable versions are the Bentley for Men and Bentley for Men Intense fragrances, presented in glass and metal flacons. They both feature leather and fine wood essences, together with patchouli and cedar tones. For a stronger impact, the Intense version is enhanced with tones of African geranium. Sold in 100 ml flacons, they are priced at 68Euro (£59.50) (about $90) for the regular Eau de Toilette version, and 76Euro (£69.50) (about $100) for the Intense Eau de Parfum.

The most luxurious version of the fragrance is the spectacular Crystal Edition, with a sculptural crystal design and a unique combination of scents created by Mylene Alran of Robertet perfume house. It boasts leather and wood notes mixed with orris butter tones for a more sensual finish. Every 40 ml flacon will cost you 3.500Euro (£3,000) ($4,600), but that is nothing for a Bentley owner. Only 999 Crystal Editions will ever be produced.
