Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinhas weight loss secret

Sonakshi Sinha stunned the viewers of ‘Dabangg’ with her glowing beauty and smoldering screen presence. Once weighing in at 90 kilos, the necessity of losing weight first occurred to Sonakshi while she was a student of fashion designing. Following the realization, Sonakshi started out on her rigorous health regime, which effectively dropped her weight from 90 to 60 kilos. Today, the star has a solid ticket to Bollywood and recently even reaped the Filmfare award for the best new face in the industry.Under the guidance of Salman Khan, Sonakshi started off her routine by working out at the gym two times each week. Slowly she inculcated the habit of weight-training along with gymming around 4 or 5 times in a single week. Sonakshi also says that spinning is something that went a long way in helping her lose weight.

Hot yoga is another one of her secrets. Sonakshi regularly works out various yoga positions in a steamed room at 40 degrees. She loves yoga and prefers it to performing plain aerobic exercises. Also quite a sportswoman, Sonakshi enjoys playing tennis.

Sonakshi Sinha To Have Item Number In Farah Khan’s Joker

Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan gave a landmark turn to Katrina Kaif’s career with item number Sheila Ki Jawani and now the filmmaker is set to do the same for new girl Sonakshi Sinha.

 

Farah Khan revealed that she is planning an item number for the Dabangg beauty which will showcase the actress in a new sassy look.

 

Farah said, “I’d love to make Sonakshi do something totally different and seductive soon. She is my next item girl post Katrina. She is also working in my home production next titled ‘Joker’”.

 

When asked if Sonakshi will be seen performing belly dancing, Farah said, “Belly dancing is a big no no for Sonakshi!”

 

However, the actress said that she has no idea about Farah’s plans but is looking forward to it. “She (Farah) hasn’t told me anything as yet! But I am sure if it’s Farah, it will be something big.”

Sonakshi Sinha & Katrina Kaif To Dance Together In An Item Number For Joker?

The latest B-Town buzz claims that Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha and the beautiful Sheila Katrina Kaif will dance together in an item number in upcoming Shirish Kunder's Joker.

 

Sonakshi wanted to dance onscreen and a source added, "She kept telling Farah she wanted her own Munni and Sheila. Not only Sonakshi but even her parents were keen to see her dance on screen."

 

So, her dream to have a dance number came to life with this item number which will be a double pleasure for the viewers with both the beauties in it.

 

Sonakshi said, "It is good news for me. I'm finally going to dance in Joker. I wouldn't call it an item song because I'm the film's heroine and guest artistes perform item songs. But, I know it will be well shot and lavish and aesthetic because it's being choreographed by Farah Khan. All my worries are sorted out."

 

However, Katrina’s presence in the item number is a buzz as of now and nothing has yet been officially said.

Sonakshi Sinha’s next film Race 2 will see her shedding the 'gaon ki gori' image completely.

Once a plump girl, Sonakshi had to shed a lot of weight for her debut film Dabangg. But now she’s set to lose more weight to look slimmer and sexier in Race 2.

“First, I had to lose weight for my debut in Dabangg. Now I've to get into even better shape for 'Joker' and 'Race 2'. For the last two years that's all I seem to be doing. Losing weight. But I am fine with that. Because it's important for me to look good,” Sonakshi is quoted as saying by a news agency.

The 23-year-old beauty, however, regrets not being able to show her dancing skills in Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder’s film Joker in which she is paired with Akshay Kumar.

“I requested Farah to please, please make me dance in her husband's film. But my character doesn't have any dance-able opportunities. Sad. We'll have to wait for another occasion,” Sonakshi said.

Katrina kaif motivates Sonakshi Sinha for workout

Trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, who has her fitness centre in Bandra, has already taken Kareena Kapoor, Imran Khan, and Karisma Kapur under her grueling workouts. Now, it is Sonakshi Sinha’s turn to take the hard training session from her in order to look fit for Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’. The movie has Akshay Kumar as her co-star and goes on the floors early 2011. Her role demands a fit and toned body.

Sonakshi says, “I heard about Yasmin from a friend and was tired of doing the same old workout, so I made the switch! She’s very good and I’m enjoying my workout, feeling and looking better! It’s good to be fit and Yasmin is helping me achieve exactly that!”

Sonakshi Sinha, Akshay Kumar to Star in India’s First 3D Film ‘Joker’

BollywoodWorld.com, It is finally official. After much speculation as to who will be the female lead of the upcoming 3D film Joker (Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi Sinha being the chief contenders), it is the Dabangg girl who has finally struck the chord with filmmaker Sirish Kunder. Touted as the first 3D project in Bollywood, Joker has already generated a lot of buzz not only for its content but also for the lead pair of Akshay and Sonakshi. Director Sirish Kunder was searching for a fresh pair for his upcoming movie and the Akshay Kumar – Sonakshi Sinha jodi looked perfect, the director stressing on the fact that Sonakshi also completely fits into the character as the female lead opposite Akshay’s character.
Though titled Joker, the Akshay Kumar – Sonakshi Sinha starrer does not tell the story of a joker in a circus. Neither is it the story of a superhero, as was perceived by many after they heard that the film was to be made in 3D. Akshay Kumar is not prepared to reveal details on the plot yet and we as audience will also have to wait till next year to catch a glimpse of Joker.
All that can be said now is that Sonakshi Sinha is gradually getting a good grasp in Bollywood. After having worked with Salman Khan in her debut film, Akshay Kumar as co-star in the second film itself is something that many actresses will die for. The Dabangg girl too accepts the fact, promising to improve with each film. Joker hits the screens on Christmas next year.

Sonakshi Sinha to star opposite Akshay Kumar in Joker

 

After impressing one and all with her performance in Dabangg, Sonakshi Sinha is certainly a hot property. The pretty actress has been signed by Shirish Kunder for his ambitious 3D directorial venture Joker. Sonakshi would be paired opposite none other than Akshay Kumar in Joker.

Explaining his choice of why Sonakshi for the leading lady, Shirish reasons, "Sonakshi fitted the role perfectly. Hers is an extremely performance oriented character which is there throughout the film with Akshay. Besides another reason for choosing Sonakshi is the fact that she and Akki would be a fresh on-screen pair considering Akshay has worked with most of the top leading ladies." Unlike Dabangg in which she played a village belle, Sonakshi would be seen playing a modern girl in Joker.



Besides Akshay and Sonakshi, Joker would also boast of a huge supporting cast which Shirish would be announcing in the days to come. Commenting on whether there will be some Hollywood technicians involved considering that it's a 3-D film, Shirish says, "Most of the technicians will be from India but yes, since this a New technology, we would be using the expertise of some experienced names from Hollywood too."

Joker is a co-production between Farah Khan & Shirish Kunder's Three's Company and Akshay's Hari Om Entertainment. The film goes on floors in January 2011 and will be mostly shot all around India.
